This 5–6 hour guided adventure is perfect for thrill-seekers looking for something beyond traditional ghyll scrambling. A reasonable level of fitness and a sense of adventure are essential!
ESK GORGE SCRAMBLING – ADVENTURE DETAILS
Price: £125 per person
Minimum Group Size: 4 participants
Duration: Approximately 5–6 hours
Start Time: 9:00am
Minimum Age: 14 years
Maximum Weight: 18 stone
Fitness Level: A reasonable level of fitness is required, including the ability to complete an approximately one-hour walk into the valley.
Availability: Selected dates outside our busiest periods, subject to availability and suitable conditions.

All specialist safety equipment is provided, so you can concentrate on enjoying the adventure!
WHAT TO BRING FOR ESK GORGE SCRAMBLING
What you will need to bring:
Your own transport to and from the activity location, where your instructor will meet you.
Old trainers or boots with a hard sole and good ankle support. Wetsuit shoes or boots are not suitable.
Swimwear to wear underneath your wetsuit.
An old pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit.
- One water bottle per person and some snack to keep you going.
Warm clothing for after your adventure, such as a fleece, woolly hat and gloves.
A towel.
Any essential medication or medical items, such as an inhaler or EpiPen. Please inform your instructor of any medical requirements before the activity begins.
Important information: Only bring clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Rocqua Adventures provides the specialist equipment listed above, but not personal clothing or footwear.
Please note: This adventure takes place in a remote countryside location, and there are no toilet facilities available.
ESK GORGE SCRAMBLING – MEETING POINT
Your instructor will meet you at the designated meeting point in Eskdale at 9:00am.
