PADDLEBOARDING IN KESWICK – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM?

You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but you should be comfortable around water. Everyone taking part wears a buoyancy aid, which provides additional flotation if you fall from your board. Your instructor will also stay with the group throughout the session and help you get back onto your paddleboard if needed.

CAN I BRING PERSONAL BELONGINGS WITH ME?

We recommend leaving personal belongings and valuables safely in your vehicle, as anything taken onto the water could get wet or lost. Cameras are also not advised. If conditions allow, your instructor will take photos during the session for you free of charge. If you need to wear glasses, please make sure they are secured with a suitable glasses strap.

DO I NEED ANY PREVIOUS PADDLEBOARDING EXPERIENCE?

No previous experience is needed. Our paddleboarding sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have paddled before. Your instructor will show you the basic techniques, including how to control your board, paddle effectively and get back onto your board if you fall in. The session can then be adapted to suit the ability and confidence of the group.
