If you’re new to climbing or just looking for a way to try it out in a safe, controlled environment, our Climbing Taster Session in Keswick is the perfect opportunity. Whether it’s rainy, cold, or you’re simply looking for a short, fun introduction to rock climbing, our taster session will give you a solid foundation. In just 1 hour, you’ll experience the basics of climbing with guidance from our experienced instructors, who’ll keep you safe and teach you all the essential techniques. This session is great for beginners of all ages, and it’s a fantastic way to see if climbing could be your next adventure.

Our climbing taster session in Keswick is suitable for individuals, families, and small groups. With our small group sizes (maximum of 4 per session), you’ll receive plenty of personal attention from your instructor. We’ll help you develop the confidence to tackle the climbing wall and experience the thrill of reaching new heights. The session includes everything you need to get started, from all the necessary gear to expert advice.

At the end of your session, you’ll not only have learned some basic climbing skills but also get a sense of the camaraderie and joy that comes from climbing. Whether you’ve always wanted to try it or just need a fun activity on a rainy day, this is the perfect introduction to the world of climbing.

Activity Details:

• Start times available: Morning: 9.30am & 11am / Afternoon: 1pm, 2.30pm & 4pm 
• Duration: 1 hour
• Ratio: Minimum of 2 person. Maximum of 4 persons (For larger groups please contact us for details)
• Minimum age: 8 years old (Under 18s must be supervised and accompanied by a parent/guardian)
• Weight limit: 18 stone maximum

Equipment Provided:

• Harness
• Entry fee into the climbing wall
• A friendly instructor to guide you!

What you will need to bring with you:

• Your own transport to and from the venue(Keswick). Your instructor will meet you there
• A flexible comfortable trainer
• Comfortable clothes to climb in
• Any medical items you may require (i.e. Inhaler, EpiPen, etc.). Please tell your instructor if you have any medical requirement before you start your activity
• Refreshments (no alcohol). There is also a café in the venue where you can purchase food and drink
