BloKarting is an exhilarating land-based sailing adventure that merges the excitement of windsurfing with the speed of go-karting. Using the power of the wind, you’ll glide across the beautiful shores of St Bees Beach in Cumbria, racing across the sands in a lightweight, three-wheeled kart equipped with a sail. No previous experience is needed – whether you’re new to the sport or an adrenaline enthusiast, blokarting is easy to pick up with training from our expert instructors and offers an unmatched thrill. With safety as our top priority, your instructors will ensure you’re fully prepared, making this a unique adventure powered by nature.

Important Booking Information

BloKarting sessions are dependent on suitable wind, tide and beach conditions, so sessions can usually only be confirmed up to 7 days in advance. Get in touch with the dates and times you’re available and we’ll check the forecast and tides to find the best possible session. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll do our best to arrange an alternative time.

Session Details

• 1, 2 or 3-hour sessions are available.
• We operate with one BloKart per session, with participants taking turns throughout. This helps minimise our impact on other beach users while giving everyone plenty of time behind the sail.
• Maximum group size: 4 people
• Around 15–30 minutes of the session is used for instruction and getting you comfortable with the BloKart.
• Minimum age: 14 years
• Maximum weight: 16 stone
• Session times depend on suitable wind and tide conditions.
• Please wear suitable outdoor clothing that you don’t mind getting wet, salty or sandy. Flip-flops and sliders are not suitable.
• Parking at St Bees is pay and display, so please remember to bring a suitable payment method.
