I was surprised with Ghyll Scrambling for my hen do and I couldn’t have been happier! I laughed so much, and had an amazing time during the activity. Emma and Brian were incredible! Super friendly and made us feel so safe. Once we’d finished I got another surprise of homemade brownies, Prosecco and a chance to play with their cutie dog. Thank you, Emma and Brian, for an amazing morning canyoning! We went as a pair and were complete beginners, but they made us feel comfortable and confident from the start. They struck the perfect balance between keeping everything safe while still making the experience exciting and adventurous. Had a fantastic Ghyll Scrambling experience with Rocqua Adventures this past weekend. 4 in our group as part of a group of 8. A few ot us had done it before, and some newbies. Very well organised session, excellent equipement and in a beautiful location. Emma and Brian are brilliant guides, setting everyone ay ease and clearly explaining each and every obstacle as we went, along with some really interesting local information about the old mines and how the ghyll came to be. The scramble itself was brilliant fun, with lots of slides through the rocks and jumps in to deeper pools. It was an awesome afternoon, and I would recommend it to anyone. Absolutely brilliant morning ghyll scrambling with Emma. From arrival, we felt like we were in safe hands. We were a party of 7 - two adults and 5 kids between 10-15 and we loved it. Despite the initial shock of the coolness of the water, the wetsuits were great and the slides and jumps had enough variety to keep everyone confident but also challenged. Just back from a fantastic and memorable afternoon with Emma Ghyll Scrambling near Keswick. Emma was such a knowledgeable, friendly and fun guide. All 5 of us, myself, husband and 3 kids aged 14, 11 and 8 were grinning and laughing the whole adventure whether scrambling down waterfalls or totally submerged in beautiful mountain water! My wife, 20-year old daughter, 16-year old son and 51 year old me, all had a brilliant time Ghyll Scrambling.  Emma from Rocqua Adventures guided down the ravine skillfully,  showing us how to navigate the rocks and natural slides, and ensuring we were safe and most importantly, enjoying ourselves. Indoor Climbing in Keswick – 3 Hour Climbing Session

Our indoor climbing in Keswick session is ideal for complete beginners looking to learn the essential skills needed to climb safely and confidently. This 3-hour instructor-led session covers climbing technique, harnesses, knots, belaying and route climbing in a safe indoor environment.

During the 3-hour session, you’ll be guided by a friendly and experienced instructor who will help you get to grips with the basics of climbing. You’ll learn essential climbing techniques, including how to correctly fit a harness, tie knots, use belay devices, and safely climb a route. By the end of the session, you’ll be ready to sign in at any indoor climbing wall and tackle new challenges!

Our indoor climbing adventure offers a safe and controlled environment to help you develop skills at your own pace while enjoying the social and physical benefits of the sport.

• Correctly fit a harness
• Tie yourself and others into the harness with a suitable knot
• Attach and use of a belay device
• Hold a fall from a climber
• Climb a chosen route
• General climbing safety and etiquette in a indoor environment
• Once you have completed the session you will hopefully hold the skills to sign into any indoor climbing wall.

Indoor Climbing in Keswick – Details:

• Start times available: Morning: 9.30am / Afternoon: 1.30pm 
• Duration: Approximately 3 hours (Depending on group size and ability)
• Ratio: Minimum of 2 person. Maximum of 6 persons (For larger groups please contact us for details)
• Minimum age: 8 years old (Under 18s must be supervised and accompanied by a parent/guardian)
